LAURINBURG — The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is holding its “Stuff a Cruiser” fundraising event to support local students.

Starting Tuesday and going through Saturday the sheriff’s office will be in the Laurinburg Walmart parking lot and Dollar Tree at Carlie C’s to accept donations for the event. All the proceeds and donations will benefit children in the community.

The items donated will go directly to the “Back to School Stay in School Extravaganza” in collaboration with the Scotland County NAACP. The event will be held at Scotland High School on Aug. 18.

The goal is to have a sheriff’s cruiser stuffed full of school supplies through monetary donations will also be accepted as well.

Items will also be accepted Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the sheriff’s office located at 212 Biggs Street.
