Break-In

LAURINBURG — Eastside Emmanuel Holiness Church on Kiser Road reported to the police department on Sunday that a window was damaged on the property, but nothing was missing.

Larceny

LAUREL HILL — A resident of U.S. 74 reported to the sheriff’s office on Friday that someone had stolen jewelry from the residence. Items stolen include gold rope necklaces, gold nugget medallion, a gold cross and assorted gold rings valued at $8,200.

LAURINBURG — A resident of South Caledonia Road reported to the police department on Friday that his black and white pit-bull was stolen from outside the property.

LAURINBURG — A resident of West Boulevard reported to the police department on Friday that her daughter left her cell phone at a playground bench and when she went back to retrieve it the phone was gone.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Longleaf Drive reported to the police department on Friday that unknown persons removed Xanax pills from the home valued at $30.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Berwick Drive reported to the police department on Saturday that unknown persons stole a 10-Star Air-Conditioner from the property.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Pine Street in Laurel Hill reported to the police department on Saturday that she left her cell phone at the movie theater and when she went back to retrieve it the phone was gone.

Vandalism

EAST LAURINBURG — Partners in Ministry Inc. reported to the sheriff’s office Friday that someone had damaged the window to a bus valued at $500.

LAURINBURG — Pleasant View Church on Old Lumberton Road reported to the police department on Saturday that someone had cut the screen on a window valued at $25.

WAGRAM — A report came to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone had punctured the tires to the victim’s car and flattened them.

Hit and run

WAGRAM — A report came to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that there was a hit and run at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church on Raeford Road. The victim had damage to the paint on the left rear door of her vehicle.

Arrests

LAURINBURG — Shawnda Roller, 30, of Marston Road, Laurel Hill, was arrested Friday and charged with felony embezzlement in reference to an embezzlement scheme from Huddle House. She was given a $5,000 bond.

LAURINBURG —DeAngelo Terry, 33, of Ashley Drive was arrested Saturday for parole violation. He wasn’t given a bond.

LAURINBURG —Eugene Owens, 45, of Riviera Arch, Virginia Beach, Va., was arrested Sunday. He was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny, driving while license revoked, and failure to stop for blue lights and siren. He was given a $7,000 bond.

LAURINBURG — Leteechia Cuffee, 45, of Geneva Way, Norfolk, Va., was arrested Sunday for two counts of misdemeanor larceny. She was given a $3,500 bond.

HAMLET — Demitrous Akeem Little of Bynum Road, Rockingham, was arrested on Sunday after fleeing from police. Little fled police on U.S. 74 going in excess of 120 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. He was charged with fleeing and eluding arrest, no operators license, and reckless driving to endanger.

LAURINBURG — Curtis Leak, 39, of South Caledonia Road was arrested Sunday and charged with simple assault on a female. He wasn’t given a bond.
