LAURINBURG — The Laurinburg Police Department has asked for help in locating a vehicle that was involved in the larceny of two lawnmowers in town.

On Saturday an unknown person broke into Southeastern Farm Equipment on Joy Street, according to Assistant Police Chief Terry Chavis. By damaging the padlock on the fence the thief was able to get inside and remove the two lawnmowers. The mowers stolen were a green John Deere Z930M commercial-grade zero-turn riding mower and a green John Deere X580 zero-turn riding mower.

Surveillance footage shows a silver-colored 2013 to 2015 model Ford Expedition pulling an enclosed utility trailer. The police ask that anyone who might have any information on the vehicle and the stolen items to contact Lit. Detective Jeremy White at 910-291-1752.
