LAURINBURG — Laurinburg Police Department needs the public’s help locating missing teen.

The child, 14-year-old, Treyon Collins, went missing from his mother’s home on Kingsdale Street on May 29.

The teen’s mother told police that she sent him to the bus stop that morning but was worried about him because he had recently been in the hospital, so she called the school, according to Assistant Police Chief Terry Chavis.

“The school said he never arrived, so she took the car and went looking for him. She last saw him riding his bike near Rob’s Convenience Store [on Caledonia Road] heading toward McKay Street, but he took off and she couldn’t catch him,” Chavis said.

Collins was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. He stands five feet five inches tall and weighs 140 pounds and has a small scar above his right eye.

Anyone with information as to the child’s location is asked to call the Laurinburg Police Department at 910-276311 or call 911.
