LAURINBURG — A Laurinburg woman was cited following a fender bender that sent both drivers to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

Police say Heaven Graham, of Sugar Road, failed to yield the right of way to a fellow driver at the intersection of Church Street and Caledonia Road.

Graham was driving a 2005 Mercury headed south on Caledonia Road when she made a left turn onto West Church Street toward Maxton and struck a 1994 Toyota being driven by Jazmyne Ray of Appaloosa Court. Ray was traveling north on Caledonia Road.

The bumpers of both cars came into contact leaving $1,500 damage to the Toyota and $1,000 damage to the Mercury, according to police.

Both drivers were transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital by EMS. A passenger from each car appeared to have sustained injuries as well, according to the accident report, but neither passenger was transported by EMS.
