LAURINBURG – A resident of Sneads Grove Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Sunday that someone broke into the home and stole a 50-inch television valued at $469.

Larceny

LAURINBURG – A resident of Springs Mill Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Monday that someone stole a Yamaha four wheeler valued at $3,000 from the property.

Shooting

LAURINBURG – A resident of Blakely Road reported to the sheriff’s office on Saturday that someone shot at the home during a party Friday night. Investigators thought a vehicle was the target, but found damage to the home the next morning. The shooting left $500 in damages. The sheriff’s office collected 24 shell casings from the scene in 9 mm and .40 caliber sizes, according to the incident report.

Fraud

LAURINBURG – A resident of Cedar Drive reported to the sheriff’s office on Friday that someone attempted to extort $5,000. The resident was contacted through Facebook messenger and was told nude videos would be released unless money was sent.

Arrests

LAURINBURG – Alonza Martavius Hubbard, 31, of Pringle Drive Bennettsville, S.C., was arrested for unauthorized use of a conveyance and given no bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – John Durham Brigman, 39, of Bay Ridge Road, was arrested on warrants out of Fayetteville for one felony count of obtaining property by false pretense and embezzlement and given a $5,000 unsecured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

LAURINBURG – Ashleigh Tyierra Christian, 27, of Carver Street, was arrested for perjury/ contempt of court and given a $1,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
