LAURINBURG – Two people arrested for crimes on Tuesday were given additional charges following booking at the Scotland County Detention Center.

Travlon Elliott, 22 of Pine Needle Circle, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Tuskeegee Drive and transported to the Scotland County Jail, according to Patrol Capt. Terry Chavis.

During the booking, Smith was discovered to be in possession of drugs, according to Chavis.

“During the search detention officers discovered bags of contraband,” Chavis said. “He had two doses of suspected methamphetamine, and a half gram of suspected cocaine.”

Elliot was re-arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance in a jail.

Elliot received an $800 bond on the disorderly conduct charge and $10,000 on the drug charges.

Aisha Bryant, 21, of Wren Place in Laurel Hill was arrested on charges of larceny at Walmart, according to Chavis.

During booking Bryant was found to be in possession of four bags of 3 grams marijuana, Chavis said

Bryant was re-arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance inside a jail.

Bryant received a $2,200 on the larceny charges and a $5,000 bond on the drug charges.
