LAURINBURG – Loss prevention officers reported to police on Tuesday that an employee had stolen $525 worth of cigarettes over a period of time. Levi Allen Pack, 19, of Stateline Road was charged with larceny by an employee and given a $5,000 bond.

LAURINBURG – A customer at Carlie C’s in Holly Square Shopping Center reported to police on Thursday that he left his cell phone valued at $650 in the store’s bathroom. He returned to find it gone. The phone has been located in Angier. City police are continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Harnett County sheriff’s office.

Break in

LAURINBURG – A resident of Sanders Circle reported to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday that someone tried to break in a door to the residence leaving $100 in damages to the door.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Willow Drive reported to police on Thursday that someone broke into her 2012 Chevrolet Equinox when it was parked on Tuskegee drive and stole two debit cards, a tax refund card and her Social Security card. The vehicle had been left unsecured.

LAURINBURG – A resident of Turnpike Road reported to police on Thursday that someone broke into the home and stole a 32-inch flatscreen television valued at $350 and left $600 damage to a door.
