Most events occurring outside of Scotland County (with the exception of Maxton) will not be included.

July 15

Haven of Truth Church will host a building fund program at 3 p.m. at 504 E. Broad St., Rockingham. Pastor Nancy Williams from the Life Changing Ministry will be the guest speaker.

Beaver Dam United Methodist Church will host its homecoming services at 11 a.m. at 9741 Old Wire Road, Laurel Hill. Rev. Donna Williams will deliver the message.

Unionville Missionary Baptist Church will host an usher board celebration at 3 p.m. at 19400 Blakely Road, Laurinburg. Evangelist Valeria McDonald will serve as the guest speaker.

New Greater St. James Word Praise and Worship Ministries will host their annual homecoming at 11 a.m. at 900 S. Caledonia Road, Laurinburg. Overseer Pastor Jane Hasty will serve as guest speaker.

Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church will host a male choir anniversary at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 614 E. Rockingham Road, Maxton.

July 16-18

Beaver Dam United Methodist Church will host revival services at 7 p.m. nightly at 9741 Old Wire Road, Laurel Hill. Guest speakers include Rev. Stephanie McArthur of Clark’s Chapel AME Zion, Rev. Lucretta Toney of Walls Chapel and Rev. Darrell “B.J.” Gibson of Nazereth Missionary Baptist Church.

July 16-20

Cedar Grove First Missionary Baptist Church will host vacation bible school for adults and children at 6 p.m. nightly at 14600 Railroad Street, Gibson.

July 21

Reedy Creek MBC will host an annual cookout from 1 to 5 p.m. The church is at 11941 Bostic Road.

July 22

Reedy Creek MBC will celebrate 121st church anniversary. Morning service will begin at 11 a.m. and dinner will be served after. The church is at 11941 Bostic Road.

July 21-22

New St. John Holiness Church will host a two-day unity in the community at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 22 at 1307 N. Main Street, Laurinburg. Saturday there will be games, grilling, singing and praise dancing. On Sunday, the church will presented 100 Men in Black along with 100 Women in White program.

July 23-24

Reedy Creek MBC will be hold its annual “Two-Night Revival” at 7 p.m. at the 11941 Bostic Road. The guest preacher for the night will be Rev. Hurley Williams of Hope Mills.

July 27-28

New St. John Holiness Church will host the 2018 women’s empowerment conference at 1307 N. Main Street, Laurinburg. Friday registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with services at 6:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served on Saturday at 8 a.m. This year’s theme is “In times Like These 2 Timothy 3:1-8.”
