FLORENCE, S.C. – The Florence Center will host the venue’s first major rock concert tour this November as six bands will unite to “Rock the Pee Dee.”
The Resurrection Tour 2018 featuring Puddle of Mudd along with Saliva plus special guests Saving Abel, Tantric, Shallow Side and The Fifth will take place on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Florence Center.
Headliner Puddle of Mudd has sold out shows all over the world. Saliva is on the rise with new music and a new album coming late this summer. Saving Abel, Tantric, Shallow Side and The Fifth flesh out the package to deliver a powerful night of rock and roll in Florence.
“We’ve been considering a rock concert for many years and spoke with countless promoters and artists,” said Nick Hooker, director of marketing for the Florence Center. “Rock is untested in Florence, and promoters have not been willing to take the risk in testing the market. We finally have the chance to see how the region reacts and if rock music fans will support this type of show at the venue.”
The combined six bands offer a mixture of rock styles and a long history of hit-tracks and billboard chart-toppers. The artist lineup includes Puddle of Mudd (“Blurry,” “She Hates Me,” “Psycho,” “Control,” “Stoned” and “Famous”) and Saliva (“Click Click Boom,” “Your Disease,” “Always,” “Ladies and Gentlemen” and “Rest In Pieces”) plus special guests Saving Abel (“Addicted,” “The Sex is Good,” “18 Days” and “Drowning”) and Tantric (“Breakdown,” “Mourning,” “Down & Out” and “Astounded”) plus Shallow Side (“Try To Fight It,” “Rebel,” “Renegade”[remix], “Stand Up,” and “My Addiction”) and Carolina-rockers The Fifth (“No Going Home,” “Better Way,” “Dirty Money” and “The Gift”).
Tickets to the Resurrection Tour 2018 will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25. Tickets will be available at the Florence Center Box Office, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
