CHERAW, S.C. – McLeod Health Cheraw recently announced the recipient of the October 2018 McLeod Merit Award was Whitney Stillwell, who was awarded a plaque and medal during a special recognition ceremony held on Oct. 24.

Julie Jordan, associate vice president of quality and safety for McLeod Health Cheraw, opened the program by explaining the significance of receiving the McLeod Merit Awards and the selection process for this honor by fellow teammates and leaders.

Jordan presented the October McLeod Merit Award to Stillwell, who has served in her role as director of case management for McLeod Health Cheraw for more than three years.

“I want to thank most of all the leaders here who support me and my staff,” said Stillwell. “It is not an easy job, doing what we do, but having their support makes everything a bit easier for our team. My staff also makes every day fun at work and they inspire me to be a better person.”

The McLeod Merit Award recognizes McLeod Health employees, volunteers and physicians who consistently exemplify Service Excellence standards and who also demonstrate and promote the McLeod Health mission, vision and values. Recipients are nominated by their coworkers and chosen by members of the McLeod Health Cheraw Service Excellence Committee.
