CHERAW, South Carolina – McLeod Physician Associates welcomes Board Certified General Surgeon, Dr. Jennifer Mihalik, FACS to McLeod Surgery Cheraw.

Dr. Mihalik has been serving the medical staff of McLeod Health Cheraw since 2019 as a locum tenens surgeon. Dr. Mihalik comes to McLeod from Oconee Medical Center, in Seneca, where she served as a general surgeon and Department of Surgery vice-chair. She played an important role as the hospital’s Multidisciplinary Breast Care Coordinator and on the QRS Patient Safety Risk and Quality Committee.

Dr. Mihalik is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and she is passionate about the treatment and prevention of breast cancer in the region. As a general surgeon, Dr. Mihalik provides diagnosis and treatment of abdominal and intestinal issues in the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. In addition to treating patients for diseases of breast, skin, soft tissue and hernias.

She also performs minimally invasive procedures and endoscopy.
