LAURINBURG — Scotland County High School students recently showed off their Sunday best during the third annual fashion show.

The event raises money for the exceptional student’s department. Students from all grade levels participated.

Cicely Covington, transition program specialist, said the event raised $445. Approximately 80 tickets were sold. Those who were not able to attend gave donations.

The students were chosen to participate based on their interest. They were given the options to schedule times to go to the different businesses and pick up their outfits. But if the students were having a hard time the staff helped.

“My overall thoughts of the show are the students looked great and put on a very entertaining fashion show,” she said.

Sponsors for the event included Zaxby’s of Laurinburg, Golden Corral of Laurinburg, Texas Road House of Aberdeen.

“The students truly enjoyed this event and are looking forward to participating next year. Our EC parents were thrilled to see their students dressed up,” Covington said. “It was really nice to have that support from our parents. We hope to get more of the community involved with this event next year. If there is any local business that would love to sponsor this event, please get in contact with me at the high school. Thanks for all you do.”
