Emma Jane Locklear Carter, 94, of Wagram passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at Century Care of Laurinburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at the Macedonia Methodist Holiness Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Robin Hammonds, the Rev. Waylon Anderson, and the Rev. Scott Hammonds will officiate the service.

Emma was born on July 10, 1918 in Hoke County, daughter of the late Candy and Carinera Locklear. She was a devoted homemaker and served as a lifetime member of the Macedonia Methodist Holiness Church. She enjoyed sewing and watching her gardens grow. She had a delightful sense of humor and will truly be missed.

She is survived by her daughters Pauline Dollar of Southport and Verlane Locklear of Wagram, brother Belton Locklear of Maxton, four grandchildren: Phyllis Lowery and husband William, Lester L. Dollar, Jr., and wife Lisa, David B. Dollar, and Wanda Crabtree and husband Ricky, six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
