Angela Michelle Goins, 41, of Maxton passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Helping Hand Ministries Cemetery. Pastor Steve Strickland and Pastor Al Hinsley will officiate the services.
Angela was born on Oct. 21, 1971 in Scotland County, daughter of Joyce Chavis Goins Barton and Rufus Odell Goins. She was a loving daughter and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Angela enjoyed communicating with family and friends. She understood that you love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t, and believe that everything happens for a reason.
She was preceded in death by her brothers David Keith Goins and Thomas Odell Goins and her grandparents Rufus and Beulah Clark Goins and Earlene Chavis Hewett.
Angela leaves behind her husband Jimmy Lee Locklear of the home in Maxton, her daughters Cierra L. Worriax and Alyxus Clark of Maxton, her son Joseph Christopher Locklear of Lumberton, her mother Joyce Goins Barton and stepfather Daryl Barton of Maxton, her father Rufus Odell Goins of Laurinburg, her grandchildren Kyleigh Chavis and Hunter Oxendine of Maxton, stepsisters Tina Jones and Tanya Locklear and husband Randy all of Maxton and Constance Barton of Pembroke, sister-in-law Angela Nicole Oxendine of Maxton, five nieces: Ashton Goins, Hailey Goins, Jalyn Locklear, Mackenzie Lowery, and Journei Lowery, six nephews: Triston Goins, Jacobi Goins, Cameron Oxendine, Darron Jenkins, Kaleb Barton, and Jolon Locklear.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Angela to the Helping Hands Ministries, 6842 Hwy 71, Maxton, NC 28364.
