Frances “Allene” Cribb Luther of Wagram passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the age of 81.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park. The Rev. Rodney Nichols will be officiating the services.

Allene was born on Sept. 9, 1931 in Robeson County, daughter of the late G.W. and Lorena Smith Cribb. She was the devoted wife of 57 years to the late Alfred Leland Luther. She was a homemaker and a textile worker retiring from JP Stevens, Inc. after many years of service. She loved spending time with her family and she also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Surviving are her children James Alfred Luther and wife Diana of Charlotte and Frances Lorene Luther of Wagram, brothers Walter Cribb and wife Myra of Wagram and Robert Cribb and wife Barbara of Wagram, sisters Collene Furr of Montana and Elise Farley and husband George of Wagram, sister-in-law Pearl Fore, and grandchildren Michele Luther and James Luther and his wife Kayla.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family request that memorial gifts be made to the charity of one’s choice.
