He was born in Portsmouth, Va. on May 31, 1962 to Hunter Ray and Hilary Rossow McKenney. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael McKenney.
An outdoorsman, Chris loved hunting and fishing. His greatest love of all was his children and spending time with them.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Brenda Boswell McKenney, daughters Brianne, Hilary, Jenna, and Leah of the home, parents Hunter and Hilary McKenney of Red Oak, sisters Stacey Cunningham and husband Tommy of Hatteras and Erin Jefferson and husband Roy of Red Oak, his niece and buddy Marleen Jefferson, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
A service to remember Chris was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.
