Two Laurinburg women were arrested Saturday on charges of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old child, according to police.
Lakeisha Mason, 28 and Amber Bullard, 26, both of 1506 Oak Street were charged with indecent liberties with a child and second-degree sexual offense.
A relative of the child contacted police after the child described toan incident of sexual assault.
According to Lt. Cliff Sessoms of the Laurinburg Police Department, investigation has only uncovered one such incident.
Authorites would not say how the Mason and Bullard know the child .
Mason was placed under a $1 million bond, while Bullard was placed under a $500,000 bond.
