Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at Bright Hopewell Baptist Church in Laurinburg, officiated by the Rev. G. Harggard. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Mary Stewart of Laurinburg, two sons: Wayne Spencer of Columbus, Ohio and Michael Stewart of Harrisburg, Pa., three daughters: Veronica(Frizzell) Leggett of Laurinburg, Albert Ree (Steve) Owens Kaplan of Jerusalem and Shirley(Ronnie) McLeod of Laurinburg, 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren.
McPhatter Funeral Home of Laurel Hill is serving the family.
