Hoover Oxendine, 75, of Laurel Hill passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at his home.

Hoover was born on June 23, 1937 in Robeson County, a son of Christine Oxendine. He worked with Pinecroft Manufacturing before retiring. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by a brother, Edison Oxendine, of Norwood, his sister Edith O. Chavis of Laurel Hill, nephew William Hall and wife Crispina, and his niece Pamela D. Hall.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
