To the editor:

I want to thank all the voters who helped re-elect President Barack Obama.

When I read the paper, look at the TV, go on the Internet, or have or hear a conversation about the commander-in-chief President Barack Obama, it’s as if he’s the reason America is in its present condition. President Obama inherited a mess that Bush created. That is what all presidents do: inherit what his predecessor leaves.

However, I’m going to name a few things Bush left behind that President Obama had to deal with when he took office as commander-in-chief, because people sometimes forget. 1) banking. 2) housing. 3) two wars this country had no business in. 4) the automotive industry. 5) Osama bin Laden. 6) a multi-billion dollar deficit.

If you are a person of reason, you can’t help but see the improvement of this country in the last four years since President Barack Obama has been commander-in-chief.

In four years, no one could have completely straightened out the mess that Bush put this country in in the eight years he was president. I’m a realist, and the message I get from people shows very little concern about the condition of this country. This country has gone through 43 presidents and race has never been a concern. Why now? I personally don’t think the concern is all about America.

I think it’s because our commander-in-chief, President Barack Obama, is black. My reason for saying that is because in every conversation I’ve had with people who dislike President Obama, the race card always shows up. One person made the statement that President Obama has set this country back to where it was 100 years ago when black people were slaves. What does that have to do with anything?

My response to that statement was in the form of a question: How can you regress to a condition from which America has never truly progressed? This country has a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing, and I thank God that Mitt Romney wrote the wrong speech.

President Obama is a blessing to America. I believe President Obama is God-sent. For the next four years, Barack Obama is commander-in-chief the president of the United States of America, and as commander-in-chief he won’t please everyone. That is impossible for anyone to do, and that’s okay. But keep in mind that this is one nation under God and I believe President Obama is fighting for justice for all.

Dr. Martin Luther King had the dream. President Barack Obama is the dream. God has blessed the United States of America.
