Scotland County Parks and Recreation will offer youth basketball registration from Oct. 29 - Nov. 3.

Those interested can register their child at the Scotland Place Civic Center, located on Turnpike Road.

Registration time at the Civic Center will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

There will be a $15 registration fee for all participants.

Residents in Laurel Hill, Gibson and Wagram can register in their respective communities at the following locations and times:

-Laurel Hill Community Center 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 30 and Thursday Nov. 1

-Wagram Recreation Center 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. from Tuesday - Friday, and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Age groups are Instructional League for 6 year-olds, Rookie League for 7 and 8 year-olds, Little League for 9 and 10 year-olds, Midget League for 11 and 12 year-olds, and Juinor League for 13-15 years of age.

Any participant (boy or girl) who reaches their 6th birthday before Dec. 31 2012 and has not reached their 16th birthday before the same date will be eligible to register for basketball.
