There will be an open house on Tuesday from 2 until 4 p.m. The facility is at 600 McLean Street in Laurinburg.
The $3.5 million, 20,000 sq. ft. center was completed in July, just in time for classes to begin in August. Since classes will be in session during the open house, visitors will go on tours with RCC personnel.
“We are very pleased with the facility and the positive feedback we have received from students attending classes and groups using it for training,” said RCC President Dr. Dale McInnis. “The creation of this center was a collaborative effort between the people of Scotland County, the State of North Carolina, the federal government, foundations, and the college. We are fully staffed and operational and are preparing for more educational and training opportunities for the citizens of Scotland and Richmond Counties.”
