Deputies are looking for a 37-year-old Maxton woman accused of setting fire that damaged a man’s home.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Belinda Sue Bullard on charges of first-degree arson, cruelty to animals and communicating threats, according to Maj. Howard Branch of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

Her last known address was 5061 Arceolar Road.

Bullard is accused of threatening to burn down the home of 42-year-old Tafford Bullard's with him inside, Branch said. On July 24, Tafford heard his dogs barking and discovered a barn that was attached to his Sumpter Circle home was on fire.

Damage to the home was more than $30,000 and a dozen pigeons were killed in the fire, according to Branch.

Bullard is currently on probation for shoplifting and has prior convictions for breaking and entering and larceny, according to the state Department of Correction.

If you know the whereabouts of Belinda Sue Bullard, call (910) 671-3199.
