Aaron Goode, 44, of 704 Beta St., was arrested Tuesday after a juvenile told officers he had repeatedly sexually assaulted her over a two-year period, according to a Laurinburg police report.
Goode is accused of having sexual relations with the child from October 2008 until July.
Goode was charged with two counts each of statutory rape and attempted statutory rape and nine counts of indecent liberties with a minor, according to the report. He was placed in Scotland County jail under a $600,000.
Chris Young, the lead detective on the case, said the agency would not release the victim's name or age, or what her relationship was with Goode. It is The Laurinburg Exchange's policy not to print the names of sexual assault victims.
