"We have a busy month ahead, and we look forward to everyone coming out and being blessed," Carmichael said. "It's always good to see both new and familiar faces at our events."
The first performance for the group will be at Scotia Village in Laurinburg at 7 p.m., followed by a visit to Siler City on Aug. 13, where the group will perform at the Bestford Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
On Aug. 20 the group will appear at the Oak Hill Church of God in McColl, S.C. at 7 p.m., and will perform in Richmond County on Aug. 22 at the Community Church on Mill Road in Rockingham.
The group's next appearance will be Sept. 11 at the annual Kiwanis Club Gospel Jubilee, to be held at the Scotland County High School auditorium at 6:30 p.m.
Kiwanis Gospel Jubilee Director Cecil Daughtry has called the Hometown Quartet "an exceptional group with great charisma".
"The Hometown Quartet has been an inspiration to me ever since they organized," Daughtry said. "They are wonderful guys and excellent singers with great harmonies; they do a super job."
