HARTSVILLE,SC- The Darlington Ice 16-and-under travel softball team battled extreme temperatures and missing players to claim the ISA s Pitch For The Cure championship last weekend. Proceeds from the tournament went to help support Relay For Life in South Carolina. The Ice played its four games this weekend without the services of Shae Barnes (who played on Sunday) and Kayla Wright (who missed the whole tourney) and fared very well. Lindsey Wright of Scotland High and Breanna Skipper of Marlboro County (both in the white uniforms) helped Darlington to its third top finish in four tournaments this summer. The Ice look forward to playing in more Showcase Tournaments.
