On Wednesday, the Scotland Health Care System’s Junior Volunteers sponsored an ice cream social in the hospital cafeteria.

The Junior Volunteers complete their summer program today. Fifty-eight young men and women volunteered over 3,000 hours in the two sessions held this summer.

“Our Junior Volunteers wanted to show their appreciation to the health care system associates and adult volunteers for providing them the opportunity to volunteer this summer," said Nancy Rogers, volunteer coordinator. "They have had a great time learning about the health care system and the care provided by the many departments. The 3,000 hours they volunteered here have been a tremendous help to the staff. We hope to see many of them back next year.”

Volunteer applications are available at www.scotlandhealth.org. For information, call Rogers at 291-7314.
