Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 12, at Montpelier Presbyterian Church in Wagram, officiated by the Rev. Holly Russell. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wagram.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Murphy Clark and Willie Clark, and five sisters, Frannie Smith, Beatrice Hannah, Julia Britt, Mable Ammons, and Roberta Easley.
Born, Nov. 17, 1928 in Scotland County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Emma Laviner Clark. Lucille worked for many years at the Ingram plant in Laurinburg and also at Scotland Memorial Hospital as well as First Union Bank. Mrs. McRae was a member of the Montpelier Presbyterian Church, and the Young at Hearts club. She was a very special lady who loved to work in her garden and to sew. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, especially for her grandchildren. Mrs. McRae also enjoyed going to Sheff’s Restaurant in Pembroke.
Mrs. McRae is survived by her husband of 28 years, David McRae of the home; a son, William Cullen Edwards, III and wife Debbie of Wagram; a daughter, Teresa Edwards Vick and husband Charles Vick of Wagram; three grandchildren, Kelly Edwards Scott and husband Justin of Wagram, Kristi Edwards of Elizabeth City, and Joshua Reid Vick of Greenville; and two great-grandchildren, Alayna Scott and Tyler Scott, both of Wagram.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
