Assault case

A Laurinburg woman was charged with assault.

Cindy Locklear, of 12741 Old Johns Road was arrested early Monday night at 13780 Boykin Lane.

Locklear is accused of attacking Earl Haywood of 212 Biggs Street and was charged with simple assault.

Laurinburg robbery

A Laurinburg man reported a robbery Sunday morning.

Edward Fairley Sr., of 6761 Crestline Road in Laurinburg told authorities that computer printer, DVD player and cash were stolen from his home over the holiday weekend.

In total, over $490 worth of equipment were taken in the larceny, according to a report.

Breaking and entering

A Marston, man was arrested Saturday by the Scotland County Sheriff's department and accused of an attempted breaking and entering attempt.

Jonathan David Ganous, of 26981 McAllister Road in Marston, was arrested after the Omni Security System at 10442 Old Wire Road alerted deputies, according to a report..

Ganous is charged with attempted breaking and entering, first degree trespassing and felony conspiracy.

He was placed in Scotland County jail under a $7,500 secured bond.

Drug violation

A Laurinburg man was arrested Friday on two drug charges.

Robert Monreo, of 15583 Silver Hill Road, was charged with possession with intent to sell a Scheduled IV narcotic and was charged with possession of marijuana.

Monreo was arrested Friday and taken into custody.

Monreo was placed in Scotland County jail under at $7,500 secured bond. H

Simple assault

A Laurel Hill man was arrested Friday on a charge of simple assault.

Joshua Oxendine, of 14560B Peterson Street, was arrested and charged with one count of simple assault.

Oxendine is accused of attacking Billy Wallace of Pinewood Park Apartments in Laurinburg.

Oxenine was placed in Scotland County jail under a $1,000 secured bond. His court date is scheduled for August 11.

Electronics theft

A Laurinburg man reported that more than $3,000 of electronics were stolen from his home on Thursday.

William Gus McMillan, of 14801 Monroe Road, reported that two laptops, two flat panel televisions and a wall mounted television stand were taken from his home.

The Scotland County Sheriff's department said that there were signs on forced entry.

Larceny

The Laurinburg Police department are searching for suspects linked to a larceny case.

Police said that a copper pipe was cut and removed from Vert Green, LLC., on South Main Street in Laurinburg last Thursday.

The copper pipe is valued at $1,000.

The pipe connected the building's air conditioner unit to the building.

Officers were unable to locate the missing pipe or the tool used to remove it.
