The following are scores and some highlights from recent action in the American Legion all-star tournaments.
13-year old all-stars
Lumber River 4, Lumberton Border Belt 0
Led by a shutout performance from Cody Locklear, the Lumber River all-stars picked up a 4-0 victory over the Lumberton Border Belt all-stars.
Lumber River got a 2-for-2 showing from Austin Jones while Bryce Nephew went 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
Trevor Lesane and James Locklear each went 1-for-2 to lead Lumberton Border Belt.
Lumber River faced off with Scotland Post 50 all-stars Friday evening. Results were not available at press time.
14-year old all-stars
Lumberton Border Belt 8, Lumber River 7 (8 innings)
Seven innings was not enough to determine a winner between a pair of Robeson County all-star teams.
After Lumber River failed to score in the top of the eighth, Lumberton Border Belt was down to its last out in the bottom of the inning when Terrence Rucker came up and smashed a solo home run to lead Lumberton to an 8-7 win.
Rucker also finished 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs to go along with the dinger. Dakota Chavis went 1-for-2 with a walk, a sacrifice fly and a pair of RBIs. Will Norton picked up the win on the mound.
Lumber river got a pair of 2-for-4 performances from Jared Chavis (one RBI) and Quinten Oxendine.
Lumberton will play Scotland Post 50 today at 11 a.m.
15-year old all-stars
The Scotland Post 50 all-stars will face the winner of the Lumber River-Chatham contest today at 1 p.m.
That opponent was not available at press time.
