Three more individuals have been charged in the Maxton shooting that killed a Laurinburg teenager.

Donnay Gause, 17, of 4303 Highway 83, Conte Cox, of Peppermint Drive, and Clarence Graham, 16, of Highway 130, all of Maxton, were arrested Tuesday by Maxton police and agents of the State Bureau of Investigations and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 15-year-old Rochaad Ingram of Alpha Street.

Maxton Police Chief Damon Williams announced the arrests Tuesday night at a town Board of Commissioners meeting.

Williams said Conte Cox and Graham were being processed at presstime and police did not have ages or street addresses to report.

The three join 19-year-old Christopher Cox Jr. of Peppermint Drive in the Robeson County jail.

Gause and Christopher Cox were being held without bond while bond information was not yet available for the other two.

Police expect more arrests in the case and additional charges for those jailed.

Williams said the victims were inside a home on Hooper Street on June 20 at about 12:30 a.m. when pyrotechnics were set off outside in an attempt to lure them from the home. When Ingram and three other juveniles emerged from the home, the group who caused the disturbance opened fire, fatally shooting Ingram and injuring the other three.

Ingram and one of the others were rushed to Scotland Memorial Hospital for treatment. Ingram was then airlifted to Carolina Medical Centers in Charlotte where he was declared dead. The other person hospitalized was treated and released.
