I want to urge all registered Republican voters, in Scotland County, even though you may not have voted in the primary, to vote in the 8th District Congressional runoff election, on June 22. This is one of the most important elections for Republicans in several years. Please, get to know the two candidates. Think long, and hard about who you want to represent the 8th District, in Washington DC. I personally have met both of these men, more than once, and one stands head, and shoulders above the other. Remember, it's not always the one with the most money who should win.
Please, get out and vote! If you can't vote on June 22., early voting is going on now, at the County Annex, on Cronley Street, in the Board of Elections office. Voting is from 8 a.m.. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday until June l8t. On Saturday, June 19t, voting is from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Unaffiliated voters who did not vote in the primary election can still vote in the runoff. Unaffiliated voters who voted Republican in the primary election can still vote Republican in the runoff.
