Lawrence Archie Leviner, 82 of Laurel Hill, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at his home.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the McDonald Cemetery in Laurel Hill. The Rev. Ernie Walters and the Rev. Larry Singletary will officiate the service.

Mr. Leviner was born in Scotland County to the late John Arch Leviner and Ella Quick Leviner. Mr. Leviner retired from Springs Mill after many years of service. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing and throwing horseshoes.

He was preceded death by his wife Evlina Medlin Leviner and son Jerry Leviner; a grandson, Chris Barrington; and a great-grandson, Jaylin Fowler. Also preceding were siblings William Leviner, LouGene Newton, Thelma Leviner, Cardelia Williams and Helen Gibson.

Surviving are sons Wilbert Leviner (Dale) of Maxton, Danny Leviner (Linda Whitt) of Laurel Hill, Lawrence “Archie” Leviner Jr. (Kay) of Hamlet and John Arch Leviner of Laurinburg; daughters Barbara Leviner (Nelson Barrington), Janet Wheeler, and Evelyn Ann Leviner, all of Laurel Hill, and Terry Leviner of Laurinburg; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
