Acts of vandalism in downtown Laurinburg have continued despite stiffer police presence and several arrests.
"Some arrests have been made, however, the (acts of) vandalism are still occurring sporadically, mostly after business hours," according to a Laurinburg police report.
The vandalism is occurring along Main Street, generally by someone throwing a brick through a window.
At least four have been followed by a break-in on a later date.
