Randall Lanard Martin, 38, of Old McColl Road, Gibson, was traveling southwest on Marston Road about 13 miles north of Laurinburg at a high rate of speed, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Authorities say he was driving a stolen 2008 Suzuki motorcycle that went left of center and off the road, colliding with a tree. Martin was ejected from his motorcycle in the crash, the report said.
He was transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead.
The motorcycle was destroyed.
