The week-long drive urges the community to reconnect by donating and purchasing items in the Habitat Restore.
Money produced from this event will increase funding for building new homes for qualified families in Laurinburg.
“We hope that we can reach our goal of building two, or more, new homes for qualified families by next year,” ReStore Manager Larry Lanier. “It is so important for the community to reconnect with each other through this donation drive. We’re trying our best to make our community a better place every day and this event supports that."
Donated items are resold to the community and the funds go towards building new homes for families.
Habitat for Humanity of Scotland County and its volunteers have built 37 homes and rehabilitated four others in its 18-year history.
