James Ray Dunn, Jr., 24, was arrested Friday at 6:05 p.m. in the Old Hundred community near Laurel Hill at the intersection of Corbitt and Marsh roads, not far from his home at 19301 Corbitt Road.
Dunn was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, sell and deliver cocaine, and maintaining a drug dwelling, according to a sheriff's report.
Dunn, who is also known as "Ray Ray," was placed in Scotland County jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
Dunn was out on bond awaiting trial charges that includes possession of a car stolen from Laurinburg City Manager Ed Burchins and stealing a horse.
Dunn was the last person charged in a drug roundup that occurred March 4. Dunn's mother, 50-year-old Teresa Dunn, was among those arrested while James Dunn evaded capture for more than eight days.
This will be the convicted felon's fourth arrest on felony charges since he was released from prison in July.
He is currently awaiting trial on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, larceny of a horse, conspiracy to commit larceny, breaking and entering, and larceny.
James Dunn spent 18 months in prison on eight felony drug charges, according to the state Department of Correction. He was released July 10, 2009. He also had prior convictions for breaking and entering and larceny.
The arrests of James Dunn and the five others jailed on drug charges are the results of a two-month long undercover operation where informants and officers purchased prescription pills, crack cocaine and marijuana from the six accused.
These charges are part of the first phase of an ongoing drug investigation and more arrests are expected as the investigation moves into its second phase, according to investigators.
