The Lady Scots proved that Monday night.
Despite a slow start, Scotland pounded out ten hits and completed the season sweep of Anson County, 9-0.
Lady Scots coach Patrick Williams was very impressed with how the girls bounced back after the slow start.
“I was real impressed with the effort that the young ladies had today,” Williams said. “We started out a little slow but once we got things going and got warmed up a little bit, we jumped on them (Anson) pretty well.”
Lindsey Wright went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Scotland (5-0). Wright finished with two RBIs and a run scored.
Lauren Medlin complimented her by 2-for-4 with an RBI along with a walk and scoring twice.
Shae Barnes went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and scored twice, but also reached base on a walk and hit by pitch.
Shakela McRae went 1-for-4 as well, with her lone hit in the game being a two-run triple.
The Lady Scots went to the plate 39 times compared to the Lady Bearcats, who went just 27 times.
