James Maddox, 72 of 4600 Rockingham Road, Laurel Hill, died March 6, 2010 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Laurinburg at 2 p.m. The Rev. J.C. McLean will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010.

Survivors are nine sisters, Elaine A. Obie of Laurinburg, Beverlyn Oliver of Laurel Hill, Carolyn Mapp of Columbia, S.C., Ethel Gibson of Laurinburg, Patrice Dale of Atlanta, Ga., Lolita Dale of Charlotte, Tonika Goode of Boston, Mass., Tamitha Heard of Long Island, N.Y., and Tyawanna Ellis of Laurinburg; and three brothers, Michael Bryant of Laurinburg, John Heard of Charlotte, and Steven Heard of Virginia.
