Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary's A.M.E. Zion Church in Laurel Hill. The Rev. Samuel O. Richardson will officiate. Burial will be at Patterson Memorial Cemetery in Laurel Hill. Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6 to 7 p.m. at McPhatter Funeral Home.
Survivors are three sons, Arlanda Pate of Charlotte, Anthony Pate of Laurel Hill, and James Nicholes of Laurinburg; two daughters, Regina Smith of Laurel Hill and Barbara Grant of Laurel Hill; one brother, Howard "AC" Patterson of Georgia; two sisters, Earline Pate of Patterson, N.J. and Julia Knotts of Charlotte; one aunt, Nina Barnes of Rockingham; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
McPhatter Funeral Home is serving the family.
