Wanda Rodriguez, the lone employee at Precision Design, 10141 McColl Road, at the time, told officers she heard a knock on the door of the Laurinburg hair salon and antique shop at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, according to Detective Chris Young. She told police that she looked at the door and saw a short woman standing outside. Rodriguez unlocked the door to allow the woman in.
When the door opened, however, two men wearing all black entered the store and held the attendant at gunpoint, demanding cash, Young said.
The pair of robbers took more than $400 from the register and then made their way out the back door.
Rodriguez had only scant descriptions of those involved, according to Young.
The two men were described as being between 6' and 6'1". They were wearing all black clothing and ski masks. The woman was short and weighed an estimated 160 pounds.
The clerk did not see a vehicle or anything else that could be used to help identify the robbers.
