The following is an update on former basketball and wrestling standouts from Scotland High School.

Stephon Platt- red-shirt freshman forward, Winston-Salem State

Platt, a 2008 Scotland graduate has seen action in 28 games for the Rams (11-15) this season. The 6-foot-8 forward averages 3.1 points-per game and 1.5 rebounds-per game while standing third on the team in blocked shots with 10.

Mitchell Johnson- UNC Greensboro, 133-pound class

Johnson, a senior, has not competed since the end of December due to injury.

Alejandro Soto-Perez-UNC Greensboro, 149-pound class

Perez completed the regular season with a 15-6 major decision, helping the Spartans defeat Campbell.

Troy Baranik-St. Andrews, 157-pound class

The junior wrestled unattached for the Knights this season, going 0-10.

Andre Ellerbe-St. Andrews, 285-pound class

The 2007 Scotland graduate capped off the regular season with a pair of wins to finish with an 8-10 mark which included three pins. Ellerbe went 6-5 in dual action.

Casey Gashaw-St. Andrews, 125/133-pound class

Gashaw missed the final two dual matches of the season due to a shoulder injury. Before then, the junior had compliled a 10-8 record, including a 5-4 mark in dual matches.
