Megan Lee (22) paced the Lady Knights with 15 points in their loss to the Lady Trojans.
Freshman guard Andrea Jones scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Trojans (9-8 Overall, 8-4 Conf.) to their third straight victory.
The senior duo of Laporsha Davis and Helen Moore also contributed double figure scoring for the hosts with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Freshman center Sylvee Ubiera flirted with her first collegiate double-double for the Lady Knights (1-14, 0-12) with a game-high 10 rebounds and seven points. Both totals were new season highs for Ubiera.
Davis pulled down 10 boards for the Trojans completing a double-double for the five-foot, four-inch guard.
After trading the first two baskets of the game in the opening minute, Mount Olive went on a 14-0 run over the next six minutes to take control. Jones scored seven consecutive points during the spurt for the Trojans.
Jones led all players into the halftime locker room with 13 points as Mount Olive increase its lead to 18 points, 38-20, at the intermission. The Trojans shot 41.7-percent (15-of-36) in the opening period while SAPC was held to 20-percent (6-of-30).
Six-foot, three-inch senior center Kayla Hay netted all seven of her points and eight of her nine rebounds in the first 20 minutes. Hay helped SAPC control the glass with a 31-19 rebounding advantage at halftime.
Mount Olive continued to score frequently in the second half while 14 Trojans earned playing time before prevailing by 22. Davis scored nine of her 12 points in the second frame.
Lee -- who led the Knights with 15 points including two of the teams three 3-pointers -- led all players with 11 second half points. Sophomore Brittany Roberts chipped in with eight points and six boards. Senior Jaquese Smith handed out five SAPC assists.
Ubiera and Hay each had three blocks for SAPC.
St. Andrews doubleheader against Erskine that was scheduled for this afternoon has been postponeddue to weather/travel concerns throughout the Carolinas this weekend.
The two institutions are working on rescheduling the twin bill in February with more information TBA.
