"I don’t know what happened to us out there. We had a couple of good practices before the game, but we couldn't buy a basket tonight," Scots coach James Bethea said. "We didn't play well offensively or defensively. Their (Terry Sanford) defense just broke us down. We recognized what they were doing with the motion offense but couldn't respond to it and they were able to make their shots as a result of it."
Dominique Green, Caison Murphy and Jaquice Bethea paced Scotland (8-4) with five points apiece.
In jayvee girls action, the Lady Scots took care of the Lady Bulldogs, 50-28. It was the sixth straight game in which Scotland (11-1) allowed less than 30 points.
Tykeria Johnson led a pair of Lady Scots in double figures with 16 points with Quintavia Deberry joining her with 13. Shantel Smith contributed eight points and Jasmine Douglas finished with five.
Both squads return to Southeastern Conference action when they host Lumberton Friday at 5 pm
