Six Scotland students won positions Saturday with the Southeastern District All-District Band.

They are: Amber David (Flute), Mazella Sloan (Bass Clarinet) William Wright (Tenor Sax) and Joshua Altman (Trumpet who will participate with the 9th and 10th Grade Concert Band. Trey Sellers (Trumpet) and Oshae Best (Euphonium) will participate with the 11th and 12th Grade Symphonic Band.

The event will happen on the campus of Methodist University in Fayetteville at the end of January.

William Wright and Joshua Altman also placed high enough in their sections to audition for the All-State Bands. Those auditions will take place on early March in Thomasville, NC.

In addition, Taylor Graham (Oboe) who was named as a 1st Alternate in the 11th and 12th Grade Symphonic Band.
