A pair of accused burglars had more charges heaped on them by sheriff's deputies.

DeWayne Everette Quick, 31, of McColl, was charged with three counts each of second-degree burglary and larceny while Kimberly Dawn Brigman, 38, of Old Wire Road in Laurinburg was charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary and larceny and one count of indecent liberties with a minor, according to a Scotland County sheriff's report.

Both Brigman and Quick are accused of break-ins at Oak Grove Baptist Church and a private residence while Quick is charged with a break-in at St. Lukes Masonic Lodge, according to Investigator Jon Edwards.

The pair are now charged in at least 25 burglaries.

Quick and Brigman were caught while breaking into a home in Marlboro County. Brigman was arrested shortly after law enforcement arrived while Scotland deputies, Laurinburg police, McColl police, Marlboro deputies, Bennnettsville police and bloodhounds searched for Quick for several hours. The pair were charged with 13 burglaries by Marlboro County sheriff's deputies and Quick was charged with eight other burglaries in that county. They were also charged in a Dillon County burglary.

Marlboro officials say the year-long crime spree was likely the result of drug problems and that both Brigman and Quick have criminal histories.

The two are in Marlboro County jail awaiting trial.
