Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Trinity Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Tom Dendy, Dr. Rodger Decker, and Dr. Bill Roland. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by a son, Larry Lamar Bell of Old Fort; a daughter, Sharol Elizabeth Bell of Rutherfordton; a brother, J. D. Gibson of Laurinburg; a sister, Linell "Nell" Robinson of Wilmington; and three grandchildren, Steven Larry Bell of Rutherfordton, Terri Grant of Marion, and Jerry Toney of Oland.
Born Dec. 9, 1917 in Gibson, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Josephine "Josie" Liles Gibson and widow of the late Lamar S. Bell. She served many years as a secretary in the textile industry. Marie was devoted to her church and her family.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
