Mrs. Opal H. Clark, 84 of Richmond, Va., formerly of Laurinburg and Red Springs, died peacefully Thursday, Nov.26, 2009 at Chippenham Medical Center.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Dr. Tom Dendy.

She is survived by a son, William H. Clark, Jr. and a daughter, Terry Rice Evans both of Richmond; four sisters, Treva Smith of Conway, S.C., Betty Causey of Aberdeen, Polly Henry of Livingston, La., and June Peele of Hampstead; two grandchildren, Robert B. Evans, III of Richmond and Shanon E. Gilbert of Colorado Springs, Colo; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Clark, Sr.

Born Dec. 18, 1924 in Mount Airy, she was a daughter of the late Charles Harrison and Minnie Adkins Hill.
