Stubbs will join 10 other Advisory Council members in Scotland County. The Council is part of a group of supporters across North Carolina who are advisors for the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, based at North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University.
The Cooperative Extension Advisory Council advocates for the citizens of Scotland County with government/community leaders, promotes excellence by sharing the impact of Cooperative Extension programs, and ensures educational programs meet local needs.
North Carolina Cooperative Extension is an educational partnership of the Cooperative Extension Service at North Carolina State University, the Cooperative Extension Program at North Carolina A&T State University, county governments and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. With centers in each county and the Cherokee Reservation, its mission is to partner with communities to deliver education and technology that enrich the lives, land and economy of North Carolinians.
